Maximise Fat Loss through Nutrition
Drink water, eat nutrient-rich foods, eat small meals, eat 5 meals a day.
Drink Water
This is vital- your body can’t work efficiently without water. And you can’t just rely on whether you’re feeling thirsty- by the time that happens you’re already dehydrated! Make it a habit to drink water all day long.
Eat Nutrient-rich foods
Some cravings are down to emotional eating but others are because your body is just starved of basic nutrients like vitamins. If you eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables and whole grains then you’ll reap the rewards many times over.
On a personal note, I ditched the dairy and stopped eating meat a couple of years back and have never looked back! As well as maintaining my weight effortlessly my skin and general health are the best they have been in years.
Eat Small Meals
You must learn portion control to lose fat in spite of the “super-size” culture we live in. Take a tip from the Japanese and use smaller plates and bowls. Remember even if you’re still hungry you can go and get another small portion but wait for 20 minutes as there’s a time lag between your stomach being full and the message getting to your brain.
Eat Five Meals a Day
Even if you do nothing else then make sure you eat real food regularly throughout the day. Allow about 3 hours between meals. If the idea of five meals is too much for you then be sure to have your breakfast, lunch and dinner and build in a healthy snack between them.
This alone will give you more energy for exercise and eliminate cravings.
